WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO APPLY YOUR DECALS
- Damp soft cloth for cleaning the wall.
- Credit card wrapped in a soft cloth to be used as a squeegee.
- An extra pair of hands for large decals.
PREPARE YOUR SURFACE
Only apply to a smooth, dry and clean surface – The most common areas include interior walls, doors and windows. If your decals is going onto a painted interior wall, make sure the wall has been properly primed prior to painting and allow at least 30 days after painting before application. You can remove and replace your decal multiple times, however if the adhesive collects too much dust or dirt, it may become less effective.
It is not recommended to use our decals on very textured or porous surfaces like brick, cement, etc. Avoid placement above used fireplaces. We also recommend avoiding areas that have been painted with a teflon based paint. This may reduce the adhesion of your decal. We suggest that you test the area for a couple of days first.
Use a warm, damp cloth or sponge to thoroughly clean the surface before application. Allow to completely dry. Do not use any chemicals or cleaning solutions.
APPLYING YOUR DECAL
Depending on the size of your decal, it may be helpful to have an extra pair of hands for application.
Start at the top of your decal and pull down approximately 15cm away from the backing sheet. Crease the backing sheet behind the decal. Apply the 15cm of exposed adhesive area to your chosen location. It can be repositioned if not in the correct place. Once you are happy with the position, slowly pull the backing sheet down in 15cm increments, smoothing the decal out as you go. It may be helpful if one person pulls down the backing, while the other smooths the decal. You can use a credit card wrapped in soft cloth as a squeegee to smooth out as you go.
Try to avoid the adhesive layer from sticking together or folding onto itself, however if it does, you can separate it by carefully pulling it apart. It should not damage the decal or adhesive.
If there are any bubbles or wrinkles present, you can lightly press or smooth them out, or just peel back that area and re-apply.
If a bubble re-appears over the next day or two, pressing and lightly rubbing should remove it.
Bubbles may continue to occur if oil, dirt, or dust has not been removed properly from the surface, if the wall had been painted within 30 days of application or cleaning chemicals were used during preparation. You may wish to use a pin to pop the bubble, and then smooth it out with your fingers in a circular motion.

Wallpaper Installation Instructions
PREPARE YOUR WALL
Tools you will need:
Measuring tape, a sharp utility knife, step ladder tall enough to reach the top of your wall safely, clean sponge, wallpapering trough, water and a drop sheet.
In order to achieve the best result possible, priming your wall surface is recommended if:
- Your wall has been previously painted with a wash and wear paint containing Teflon.
- Your wall is old, damaged, or flaking.
- Your wall surfaces is uneven and includes cracks or panelling.
Existing wallpaper should be removed prior to the installation of your new wallpaper.
Clear all furniture and other obstructions from your work area.
Using a drop sheet to protect flooring is highly recommended.
Important: Your wall surfaces must be clean, smooth, flat and dry. Please allow a minimum of 30 days after painting a wall before applying your new wallpaper.
Two people are recommended for installation. Please read all instructions carefully, before you begin.
- Lay out each panel in number order.
- Working from left to right starting with panel 1, loosely roll the printed wallpaper panel with the printed side facing inwards and completely submerge in the trough filled with water for 10 to 15 seconds (to activate the glue) Tip: We recommend the use of a wall paper tray
- Gently remove the roll by pulling the leading edge (top of the panel) out of the tray, glue-side up. “Book” the wallpaper by laying out the entire panel on to the floor (glue-side up). Fold approximately one quarter from both top and bottom ends so they meet at the centre of the panel. Leave for about 1 minute. Tip: Avoid creasing the paper when booking.
- Apply panel 1 starting at the top left of your wall/surface. While leaving the bottom, half booked, align the right hand edge of the panel to the mark on the wall prepared earlier. Using a damp sponge, gently apply the panel to the wall, smoothing it out in a downwards and outwards motion, removing any bubbles as you go. Tip: You may need a stepladder to reach the top of your wall.
Once the top section is applied, unfold the bottom booked half to finish the application of the panel. Repeat this process for all subsequent panels. Note: There will be a 20mm overlap for all subsequent panels. Ensure the image on the overlapping section lines up with the previous panel. Note: We have also added an extra 20mm to the bottom and side panels to allow for uneven walls.
Tip: Do not over-smooth. Bubbles smaller than the size of a 10c coin (or approximately 24mm in diameter) will dissipate as the wall covering sets. To remove large bubbles, carefully remove the affected section and reapply.
- Using a straight-edge as a guide and a sharp blade, carefully trim off excess wallpaper along edges. Tip: The blade must be sharp to prevent tearing.
Simply apply a wet sponge directly to the wallpaper. Soak for a few minutes to allow the glue to be reactivated. Peel off until completely removed. Residual adhesive can be wiped clean with a wet sponge.
Tip: If removal is difficult, simply apply more water on to the surface until wallpaper comes free from wall surface with ease.
For a premium result, professional installation is recommended.
